Clinical Expertise: Specialist in Lower Limb Biomechanics

Offering all aspects of podiatry treatment, Keith’s special interest is in musculoskeletal podiatry, focussing on gait analysis and the biomechanics of the lower limb using video and computerised force plate analysis. As part of this process he can provide interventions including exercise regimes, insoles, customised orthotics, and offer advice regarding general footwear, sports specific footwear, and footwear for work.

Keith graduated at the Durham School of Podiatric Medicine in 1995.  In the following year he returned to the School of Podiatric Medicine teaching undergraduates while maintaining his own private practice.  Having a special interest in podiatric biomechanics he then graduated with a Masters degree in Applied Biomechanics at the University of Strathclyde. Whilst working as a lecturer, and more recently as the Head of the Durham School of Podiatric Medicine for several years, Keith has continued to maintain his own successful practice, focusing on biomechanics and gait analysis.

He is the podiatrist for Middlesbrough FC, and has regularly worked with other professional and amateur sports men and women throughout the region. Now focusing more on his own practice, Keith continues to lecture at the School of Podiatric Medicine on a part-time basis, and is External Examiner for two other Schools of Podiatry in the UK.
